Manual Lymph Drainage

What is MANUAL LYMPH DRAINAGE? Manual lymph drainage, also known as the Vodder Technique is a treatment practiced by a certified Manual lymph drainage therapist. Manual lymph drainage is effective through the pumping and stretching effect on the lymph vessels. Manual lymph drainage stimulates contractions of the lymph vessels, which in turn assist the movement of lymph forward. This action drains connective tissues.
Manual Lymph Drainage can be used to treat the following:
- Lymphedema after mastectomy
- Lymphostatic edema of the extremities
- Primary lymphedema
- Edema of traumatic origin (hematoma, sprains, joint dislocations, ligament lesions, torn muscles, treatment of fractures, etc.)
- Scar treatment including post-cosmetic surgery and oral surgery
- Rheumatic illnesses (i.e., lupus erythematosus)
- Local chronic inflammation in the respiratory tract
- Dermatological indications (acne, eczema, rosacea, etc.)
- Tendinitis
- Fibrositis
- Sinusitis
- Bursitis
- Arthritis
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
